Student Creed

Students at Karate America Verona recite our Student Creed at the end of each kids class. This creed is a positive affirmation of who they are, what they can do, and what they would like to become.

Not only do students learn the words, they are also taught the meaning and the importance of what they are saying. Each paragraph of the Student Creed corresponds to a belt color. Beginning students start with "I have self-discipline!", and as they earn each belt on their way towards becoming a Black Belt, additional verses are added. Upon advancing to the Brown Stripe Belt level, kids will know and understand the entire creed.

Student Creed

"I have self-discipline! I take responsibility for my actions and my attitudes.

I will use what I learn in class constructively and defensively, and never be abusive or offensive.

I will develop my self in a positive manner and avoid anything that may harm my mental growth or physical health!

I am focused! I have speed, power, accuracy!

I am dedicated to the dreams and goals that are most important to me!

I am excited about my future and will always enjoy improving myself as a martial artist and as a person.

This is a Black Belt School we're on a quest to be the best!
